“I think you should be able to sing that about any subject,” McCartney said, adding, “I’m not saying I’m a rock ‘n’ roll person, but I can tell you that, as an American, I was born in the 60s.”
McCartney said he doesn’t think it was a problem that he didn’t have the kind of money to pay the bills.
“You can go on the internet and see how much money it would cost to rent a car or a house,” he said.
“I’ve had to put off buying a house for years.
But you can’t buy that kind of stuff, so it’s a lot easier for me to sing about it.”
